A few things we’re great at…
We asked a few of our parents, coaches and players to write reviews of their time with Worcester Wanderers.
Reuben started playing for a Saturday morning team when he was much younger and as he grew he showed promise and enthusiasm so when we were offered a place with Worcester we jumped at the opportunity to step up a level. The coaching is first rate and he has improved his game while playing with them. The atmosphere is wonderful, no pressure on the kids and no angry screaming from the sidelines.
The first season they won the league and cup, only losing one game all season and only letting in 16 goals so they decided to move from the Mercian Junior Football League to the Stourbridge & District Youth Football League. I have to say, the standard is much higher and it hasn’t been as easy this season but it’s been a more enjoyable challenge and the players have grown so much more than when they won 15-0 every week!
We are now moving into season 3, still in Division 1 of the Stourbridge & District Youth Football League and the team has broken away from Worcester United to form Worcester Wanderers FC and I can’t see the fundamentals changing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Worcester Wanderers FC to any parent or player, coach or team who are interested.
