Worcester Wanderers – The Beginning
Welcome to Worcester Wanderers FC.
For the last three seasons Worcester United Under 14’s have formed a very successful side, moving to the hugely competitive Stourbridge & District Youth Football League, having won the League and Cup in the Mercian Junior Football League as Under 13’s.
As Under 13’s they played 20 league games, won 19 and only lost 1 – scoring 241 and conceding only 16 goals! This led to them moving from the Mercian Junior League to the much more competitive Stourbridge and District Youth League to improve themselves at a faster, more technical and more physical level.
Stourbridge & District Youth Football League – Worcester Wanderers – The Beginning
The Stourbridge & District Youth Football League is an amateur football league in the West Midlands, England. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 teams competing in various age groups from Under-7s to Under-18s. The league is affiliated to the Football Association and its teams compete in the FA Youth Cup. The league also has its own cup competition, the Stourbridge & District Youth Cup.
In their first season they managed 6th in the league, winning 7 and losing 9 league games. Now they are moving onwards and upwards by becoming Worcester Wanderers FC – a new team in their own right – with the hope other age groups and sides will join them.
